Detecting different Models from the same Database

May 11, 2021 - 1:48am #1

Hello

I am working with Unity and HoloLens 2. I want to detect different Objects that are stored in the same database (Advanced Database). I know that it is not possible to track more than one model at the time but how do I switch between the models in that database? Do I have to create a model target for each model I want to detect and then switch trhough them by activating their model target behaviour? Or is it done by switching through the models within one model target gameobject?

I have been looking at the samples but this did not help me.

Thanks for your help!

Detecting different Models from the same Database

Hi,

I have the same issue. I need to detect two objects and I have made two model targets, one model target for each object. Then I created a database containing these two model targets. What I need to is to switch between them automatically. As you have suggested, I have selected in Unity under the Vuforia Configuration file the option: Trained Targets Continuous Search, but unfortunately it didn't work for me. The app only detects one of the model targets and does not switch to the other one. Is there any other way to make them switch?

Thank you very much!

Thanks a lot for the quick reply. This makes it more clear.

I still need to create seperate model target gameobjects for each model i want to track, right?

Thanks for your help!

Detecting different Models from the same Database

Hi,

For the advanced model targets, if you have several models in the same database, the recognition should happen automatically; as it does in our Core Sample app.

The switch between the models also happens automatically, you need to select in Unity under the Vuforia Configuration file the option: Trained Targets Continous Search.

Thank you.
