Model target Generator and Antivirus

March 19, 2019 - 1:34am #1

Hello,

I have used Vuforia Model target generator to work on an AR app. However I do encouter this little issue: my Antivirus, OfficeScan, by TrendMicro, detected a "very high risk" of a ransomware being that exe. It even deleted it and all. The first time it occured, happened when i was trying to delete one of my model targets. It displayed a "non-authorized encryption". I was advised to ask you if nothing was compromised on your side of the software (i went downloading it from https://developer.vuforia.com/downloads/tool). I just dont want to unleash a non desired ransomware on my company's systems !

By advance, thank you for your attention and answer !

Simon

Hello,

Thank you for the feedback. I'll raise your concern with the tool's development team.

MD5 checksum for the 8.0.10 version of the Model Target Generator is "c207ddcfc72ac91aab8820a52e4252cf":
