Model Target Generator doesn't support GLB

Hello all,

I'm working with model targets for my thesis and my current workflow makes heavy use of GLB files (glTF 2.0 binary format).

There are many external reasons why I chose this format but, regarding Vuforia, I chose it because the MTG app listed glTF 2.0 as one of the supported formats.

However, I'm using version 9.6.3 and it seemingly doesn't allow me to upload GLB files. I find this rather odd, since GLB is incorporated directly into the glTF 2.0 specification and it should be safe to assume that supporting glTF 2.0 also means supporting GLB.

Therefore, I just wanted to know if this is some sort of bug, or if MTG just doesn't support GLB right now. In that case, I'd like to know if there are any plans to support GLB files for MTG in the near-future.

The supported file extensions for MTG are: pvz’, ‘gltf’ v2, ‘dae’, ‘fbx’, ‘igs’, ‘iges’, ‘obj’, ‘stp’, ‘step’, ‘stl’, ‘sla’, ‘wrl’, ‘vrml’.

Could you please let me know the error that you get?

Also would it be possible to share with us the glb file used?

Hi,

Sorry for the late reply, must've forgot to turn on notifications...

It doesn't show any errors, it simply doesn't allow me to choose any .glb files in the file browser because they don't show up. It only shows .gltf files.

I'm sending the glb file as an attachment.

Hi,

Thank you for the zip file.

I also tried and was *not* able to add it to the Model Targets Generator.
