Model Target problems

I have searched through the forums and other support locations but I just can't seem to find anything solid for the issues I'm having.

I have created a model target using the MTG with a. fbx model of the real-world object I want to use for the AR. Everything appears to have run correctly and I have a folder of files including a .unity package.

FIRST ISSUE:

When I import the package and create a model target, the resultant object is stretched on the x and z. Why?

SECOND ISSUE:

After I have added my AR model to the scene, I test in the Game mode with an attached webcam. I get the video feed from the camera but I do not see a guide image anywhere. I have tried all guide view modes with and without assigning a custom image.

THIRD ISSUE:

More of an unanswered question. Am I supposed to place something in my Target Manager? If so what? i tried putting the images created by MTG but they get rejected as they are the wrong bit depth

Going a bit mad trying to find answers to these, seemingly simple problems. All help greatfully received

Hi,

Could you please share your fbx file and resulted .unity package to test the behavior?

Hi,

I tried importing the fbx in MTG but it doesn't show anything besides an empty background, do you maybe have an additional file that comes with the fbx after the export?

Thanks,

Strange that the fbx didn't show up, I had no issues with that myself.

Our real world target is a sign on our building that was manufactured from the same drawings used for both the target and AR animation.

Hi,

If the 3d model aka name appears horizontal when imported in MTG than yes, I would advise to change it to vertical as seen in real life.

The model loads into MTG correctly

I tried the untrained target package and had all the guide view options but still couldn't get a guide view in camera

I have solved this.

It was the license - didn't realise I was working from a basic license. Got a free developer license and all was good.

Odd the Vuforia support didn't suggest this. Found it in a Unity forum
