multiple model target simultaneously

February 22, 2019 - 7:51am #9

Hello,

i would like to recognize multiple model target at the same time, to augment them

If i simply put two model target in the scene it doesn't work, and only one is recognize.

Moreover, I'm using Unity 2018.3.6 where databases are automatically imported and activated (so I can't deactivate them when not neede).

It is possible to use multi model target?

How can I do?

Thank you!

Hello,

Currently, it is not possible to detect and track more than one Model Target at any given time.

Thanks,

I managed to find a workaround. I used image targets to detect feature patterns. According to the features recognised a button appears. Once it is triggered the proper model target is activated. This obviously is doable if the image targets are augmentable enough.

Hi -

Is it possible to detect and track more than one model target at a time? If not, are there plans for this to be added?

Thanks!

Hi,

Unfortunately not, still 1 MT at a time.

Could you please provide us more details on why you want to track more than 1 Model Target?

Thank you.

I'm trying to use different targets to build larger models in AR. For example, I have a target for trees and another for shrubs so I can build a garden in AR with the targets like building blocks. Right now, each target is unique which really slows the program down and sometimes confuses the tethering. It would be great if I could have just one target and have multiple models repeat as I add more of the same targets.

Is there a workaround I could add in using C#?

Thanks for any advice you can provide!

Hey there,

Sorry for the delay in response. There's no workaround as it's not supported at the moment.

Depending on the size of the objects, you could use a combination of Image and Object targets? https://library.vuforia.com/features/objects/object-reco.html

Sorry that I currently cannot be of more help to you.

Have a good week!
