Hello,

Apologies, but I don't understand the response and you've provided no details. Let's start over:

  • What feature are you using?
  • What version of Vuforia Engine?

From your description I don't understand what you're trying to do, and how you're trying to use Vuforia Engine to accomplish it.

Thanks,

hi i am working on an AR project and for that i have to  scan a real life car using my windows universal platform tablet. The problem i am facing is that even though my tablet is able to scan the car and the augmentation of the car pops out, i am unable to go around the car to scan it since the augmentation disappears the moment i go around the car. I need desperate help to  solve this problem

Hi,

Yes, shiny object due to the reflectness are more dificult to track. Also a good object should have enough distinc features to be able to track it. In this case tracking the object seems to be difficult however I encourage you to try it out. In regards to best practices we have 2 articles going over them for 3d models and optimizing tracking.

https://library.vuforia.com/articles/Solution/model-targets-supported-objects.html

https://library.vuforia.com/features/objects/model-targets/tracking-modes.html

Also I believe the size of the object might work with the Object Tracker: https://library.vuforia.com/features/objects/object-reco.html it it worth exploring.

Hope this helps.
