Using sphere as model but the direction doesn't match the target's direction.

January 22, 2018 - 10:25pm #1

I am using Unity with Vuforia7 model target function and it works

My model is a sphere with a monkey , a sloth and a girafe printed on it. So is my real target sphere object.

I turned the sphere monkey side toward the camera and start tracking, but the model on the screen was not showing the monkey side.

Hello SimnFun,

Could you share a screenshot of the issue you're observing?

Also, please note that a sphere is not an ideal Model Target. Please refer to this document for more information on supported target types: https://library.vuforia.com/articles/Solution/model-targets-user-guide.html

Thanks,

Vuforia Support

Hi SimnFun

Are you able to track a sphere object?. How big is your sphere? Could u send a pic of the target object. I'm also trying to track a spheric object but without success.
