Hey guys, how are you doing?
I am in the need to develop a Augmented Reality app that would be able to recognize a building (yes, a proper building like -let's say- a bank or a bridge.
I am not pretty sure of how can I 3D scan those large objets or if there is any other alternative way of doing it.
Lets say I target a building and after Vuforia recognize it, it would trigger videos or website links.
Here is a reference of what I am traying to do: This guy made a way for Vuforia to recognize a building. Is this done by 2d o 3d?

Any suggestions?
Thanks to all!!!
Have a good one
Hello,
Hello,
We have a policy to not reveal our customer's solutions, so I cannot comment directly on how this dev was able to make recognition of a building work.
Thanks so much for the advice
Thanks so much for the advice.
What about a structure , like a sculpture, lets say as an example Michelanchelo's David Sculpture. Should I scan it in 3D o should I take it as a 2D marker?
Thanks again
Hello,
Hello,
Your sculpture example is also not a good use case due to the fact that it is all white and lacks surface features:
