Combine Two or More Image Targets to Create a Third 3D Object

January 30, 2017 - 6:42pm #1

A same question was asked in this thread: https://developer.vuforia.com/forum/unity-extension-technical-discussion/combine-three-image-target-show-one-3d-object But doesn't seem like the community has figured out how this could be achieved yet.

I would like to combine two or more image targets to enable a third object to show on say the camera when the AR camera recognizes both images in the camera view at the same time. Wondering if any Vuforia experts out there can give me some hints. I would think a separate script needs to be written where

if Image 1 is detected, then show 3D Object 1

if Image 2 is detected, then show Object 2

if Image 1 + 2 are both detected, then show Object 3

but unsure where to begin because I'm new to C#.

Combine Two or More Image Targets to Create a Third 3D Object

Hello,

This sounds like app level logic. Vuforia callbacks will indicate which targets are being tracked. You can then add your own logic to determine what augmentation will appear if target1+target2 are simultaneously being tracked.

Thanks.
