Object-recognition of large objections

July 14, 2015 - 5:34pm #1

Hello,

Please point me in the right direction if this has previously be answered.

Is there a limit to the size of the object to be scanned, and if so what is the limit, and are there ways around it?

The scan tool appears to cut off once the A4 reference pattern is out of sight (?).

Could I lay the reference pattern at each corner of the object to produce multiple scans to recognise the same object (see image example attached)?

I know the objection recognition feature of Vuforia 4 is targeted at small objects (hence toys as an example), but I'm very keen to know how I'd go about tracking larger objects.

Thanks, Rom

No. You can have a single scanning sheet per object and enlarge it so that it is closer to object size.
