Object Scanner S5 or S6 - conflicting docs

There seems to be conflicting information on the Vuforia web pages regarding supported devices for the object tracker.

https://library.vuforia.com/articles/Training/Vuforia-Object-Scanner-Users-Guide states "The Vuforia Object Scanner is supported on the Samsung Galaxy S5 and Google Nexus 5 for Android version 4.2 and above"

However,

https://developer.vuforia.com/downloads/tool states "Note:  the Vuforia Object Scanner is only supported on the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S7."

I have a Galaxy S5.  Will the object scanner work on this device?

i actually found the same confliciting information and came here after googleing it. The app can be installed on my Galaxy S5 but i didn't test if it is able to scan an object, yet.
