Hi Guys,
I am wondering whether it is possible to edit or even create custom point clouds without using the ToolSet application? This would turn Vuforia into an incredibly useful platform for me! Thanks in advance

Object data can be created by scanning a real object using the Vuforia Object Scanner application, as documented here:

Yes, that was what i was referring to as toolset application. I did use that, but i want to automatically generate pointclouds for objects where i have alot of stored data for. Is this possible?

I too am looking at this. We hace point cloud data captured from laser scan, which would be good to be able to use after we have altered it. Could or would this be possible in some way?

The Scanner app is the recommended way (and currently the only one) to create object data from real 3d objects. The data must then uploaded to the Target Manager (online) to create and download the final Object Target DataSet. This is the only supported workflow at present.

Thanks Alessandro
I have used the scanner app and works very well, but would there be any way to convert point cloud data i have from other software to the same format that the scanning app convers it to?

No, this is not possible (as of today)
Probably something you may want to post in the Forum "Wish List"as a feature you would like to see in the future:
