Dear Forum / support,
I'm using object recognition from vuforia for an art-installation.
we have created a fake "cloud" from foam material, this object was scanned with the scanner app and it tracks good with.
for the installation we would like to attach this cloud to the ceiling and add 3d animations in an augmented.
we have attached the object 'upside down' to the ceiling. unfortunatly i cannot find a way to get the object to track while
holding the tablet looking up. I have tried placing our 'cloud' tracking object upside down in unity aswell but still there is no tracking.
Does anyone have an idea how to tracking from below working ? any help is very very appreachiated, the exhibition opens in one week
kind regards,
Rob Bothof
Tracking an object while looking up
The orientation of the device should have no effect on tracking, nor should the target's orientation in the Unity scene.
Can you post a picture of the cloud object that you have scanned?
Tracking an object while looking up
Thank you for your response,
yes the object tracks perfectly in my own unity application when i have it laying on the floor, but as soon as i rotate it more than 90degrees on its side the tracking stops.
