Trigger an animation with my finger in front of AR camera

Hello all!

 

my first post ... i hope I put it in the correct category!

 

I was wondering if it is possible to use my finger in front of the ARCamera to trigger a second animation to be played?

And of course a push in the right direction to approach this!

All I found via google was outdated and broken links :-(
