Vuforia + EmguCV

When to choose to use Vuforia+ EmguCV(wrapper for openCV) in my augmented reality application and when to use Vuforia only?

 

My application is about Tourism it detects the monuments and display  history about each monument detected.

also i have same problem. i want first get an image with vuforia camera. then apply preprocessing on it with emgucv library and get text from it with tesseract classes that wrapped in emgucv. and then add a 3D object on each word that detected. 

please help me
