Model target issue when displaying GameObject

I'm trying to test Model Target feature from Vuforia, I expect that every sides of the model will be recognized and able to give more experience with AR. But I encountered a problem where the shown GameObject is not hidden by the model.

In this example, I tried to use "mug" model, I used free model from the internet so I already expected it won't as good as if we draw ourselves. I tried to put the GameObject (which under the ModelTarget parent) and adjusted its position to inside the mug model. When I tried to run it using Unity play mode, the GameObject (shown as a virtual anchor of xyz) didn't positioned inside the mug.

It sure to follow the mug but why it's not hidden by the mug model?

Does this kind of lackness, or something I miss?

Should I try it first into native app, deployed into smartphone and see the difference?

I attached some photos in here, I admit it that I didn't use the right real similar thing to be defined as mug, but at least the system able to recognize it so no problem at this far.

Thank you in advance.

Update.

I already try to device and still same. Even supposedly the model target will able to detect the full model of the real thing, but still not so accurate to present the GameObject.

Anyone has idea or suggestion for my problem? Any kind of discussion is fine.

Hey there,

Are you expecting that the "virtual anchor" is occluded by the mug itself?

Kind regards,
