VideoPlayback render order

June 25, 2013 - 7:22am #1

Hi,

In the VideoPlayback sample what is the render order?

Are the control icons (play, loading) from assets render first and the video texture at end or inverse?

Thanks

No. The rendering order in OpenGL is based on the order of execution of each OpenGL command.

Note that objects may appear on top of each other based on their depth (i.e. their distance from the camera, essentially), but that's not affecting the rendering of draw-calls execution.

Ok, but i thought that the render order would be inverse in the OpenGL. I thought I saw someone saying in some post in the forum....

Hi, the rendering code for both the icons and the video texture is in the renderFrame() function in VideoPlayback.cpp; you can easily check the exact order of each rendered elements there.
