Adreno SDK .anim files

December 14, 2010 - 1:56am #1

Hi, I'm trying to use the .anim files for animations with the Adreno SDK.
But I can't find help on how to create thoses files.
Ofcourse I could reverse engineer the loader and parser, but i guess there should be somewhere a convert from a standard file format i could export from blender or like.

any idea?

TIA

Okay, I've heard back from the Adreno team, and it sounds like this is not a format that is currently being exposed to users. They are not currently distributing the tool that created these files.

You may want to pull some useful components out of Adreno, but use a different library for rendering animated meshes. Or you could try writing your own loader/parser that matches the Adreno rendering code.

Sorry I can't be of more help!

I'm looking into this for you, but in the meanwhile have you looked at the qdevnet forums? Someone asked a similar question last week:

You might want to add a bump to that thread (even if it's your question). I'm not sure who moderates that forum, but perhaps we can get their attention :)
