Combine Samples into one single application

October 25, 2012 - 1:59am #1

I was tested every sample program and I find most of them are suitable for my project. So, I would like to combine all of them into one signal application so we don't have to swap between applications.

Is that possible to do so?

I would like to combine the ImageTargets, VirtualButton, Dominoes, MultiTargets and also VideoPlayback into ONE single application.

I am going to use difference trackers with difference targets. For examples:

Trackers -> Targets
Stones -> Video Playback
Wood -> Virtual Button
Chips -> ImageTarget
Tarmac -> Dominoes
FlakesBox -> MulitTargets

Anyone can suggest how to I can do it?

Thanks and seeking for reply.

Hi,

Like I said there is no substitute for spending time going through the SDK and User guide - you need to read these and understand how the samples work, and then figure out how they can best be used for your own applications.

Then you will know about media and assets, and how to create targets, use the TMS, and how to create various types of trackers.

This is definitely a big challenge if you are new to mobile and also new to AR.

Thanks Nalin,

But I am new in mobile Application and AR development, so could you please advise me what I have to do. Or am I correct for the following action:

1. Add a part of the code from MultiTargets.cpp into ImageTargets.cpp
2. Copy the MultiTargets.java & MultiTargetsRenderer.java file from ..\samples\ImageTargets\src\com\qualcomm\QCARSamples\MultiTargets to ..\samples\ImageTargets\src\com\qualcomm\QCARSamples\ImageTargets

Am I correct for these two actions?

Also, how about the media and assets. What I have to do to create the trackers and targets.

Thanks and seeking for reply

Hi,

This should be possible, however you may need to make some changes to the code, to which there are no shortcuts.

You simply need to go through and add the features one by one, probably starting with Image Targets.  Do the initialisation and then add the code for any event handling and then for augmentation.
