Error when building the Shared Library

December 13, 2010 - 2:36am #1

Hi! I've followed all steps of the guide installing all software components needed to develop AR programs but when I try to build the Shared Library (as it says in step 3.1 of "Get Started" folder) I get this error:

It seems like ld.exe doesn't find -lQCAR command, and I don't know how to solve it. Does anyone knows what could be the problem?

Thanks in advance!

Problem solved, I didn't set correctly the SDK location. Thanks!

Did you install Android SDK platform 2.1 and/or 2.2? This is described under Step 1 > Android SDK Platform Support.

Also, make sure Eclipse is pointing to your Android directory. Go to Window > Preferences > Android and set the SDK location. A list of your installed platforms should show up here as well.

Thanks! I solved that problem with your information. Now I have a new problem when creating the Android project in eclipse. When I'm on the screen that appears on section 3.2 of the "Get Started" folder (Create the Android APK) I can't click on "Finish" button because it doesn't appear any "Target Name" on the "Build Target" part (in the tutorial I see there is the "Android 2.1-update" target). Do you know what could be wrong in my eclipse? (I followed all the steps of Android ADT insallation and QCAR_SDK_ROOT variable setting).

Thanks in advance!

The image didn't come through, but it sounds like your are building the application against Android NDK r5. Google introduced changes in r5 that break the build in Cygwin. Our next update should resolve this issue, but for now we ask that you build against NDK r4b. It is still available online, here is the link:
