Error while building on Unity for Windows7

December 6, 2010 - 3:03pm #1

Hi

I am trying to build the project file on Unity for Windows 7, but I get this error.

Error building Player: Win32Exception: ApplicationName='C:/android-sdk-windows\tools\adb.exe', CommandLine='start-server', CurrentDirectory=''
UnityEditor.HostView:OnGUI()

I installed Android SDK properly, but there isn't adb.exe file at 'C:/android-sdk-windows\tools\adb.exe'
Instead, there is adb.exe at 'C:\android-sdk-windows\platform-tools\adb.exe'
Well, is it the source of the problem?

If or if not, how can I fix this issue?

Thanks!

So I copied and pasted all the files from platform-tools folder to tools folder and it works!!
Thanks Kim :)

Ah, I'm guessing you just downloaded the Android SDK. You are our very first revision 8 tester, I wish I could say you win a fun prize, but the prize is unfortunately finding a bug ;)

Google just released Android OS 2.3 today, and with that a new toolset for development. It looks like Unity doesn't work with the new Android SDK file structure. I'm sure Unity will have an update to work with this soon, but in the meanwhile, what happens if you just copy everything in platform-tools over to tools? (I'll be able to test this later tonight)

I'm looking for a link to Android SDK revision 7 (which is what we're all using), but haven't found one yet... If anyone sees this, let us know!
