Hi. I can't run samples.

June 1, 2013 - 10:18am #58

Thx alot that was realy helpful and i totally got the point :)

thanks for your help

Hi. I can't run samples.

June 1, 2013 - 9:21am #57

Ok, but using a "while" is not the right solution, because that while loop will block forever (and that's why Unity becomes unresponsive);

what you need to do is probably to use the OnButtonPressed just to set some member variable (for instance a boolean flag, setting it to true), and then implement some logic in the Update() method of your Behaviour, for instance.

Hi. I can't run samples.

June 1, 2013 - 1:14am #56

the problem is that i want something to keep happening as long as the button is pressed.

switching the while() with an if() will execute the code only once.

Hi. I can't run samples.

June 1, 2013 - 12:09am #55

Hi, it seems that the while() loop will loop forever as soon as a virtual button is detected to be "pressed";

try replacing the "while" with an "if"

May 31, 2013 - 11:47pm #54

why does unity stops responding when i use this code :

public void OnButtonPressed (VirtualButtonBehaviour vb)
{

      while(vb.Pressed==true)
          {
             Debug.Log ("Testing");
          }

}

Hi, not sure what you mean with your last question (  How to integrate vuforia with our application ?  )

Going back to my previous message (as the system has been updated recently), could you verify if you still see the "authorization error" issue on your Cloud Reco account when running GetAlltargets.java (or oneof the other Java VWS samples) from your PC ?

Hi, in the past days there has been an update in the server system, which might potentially explain your issue;

could you log again to your account (via the https://developer.vuforia.com/targetmanager/  web link), and check if it still happens ?

Hi. I can't run samples.

February 19, 2013 - 11:32pm #50

I have changed server keys in GetAllTarget.java but Its not recognizing the image from my cloud database.

Yes, I still get authentication error by running the above ?

Would you like to explain it briefly explain

Hi. I can't run samples.

February 19, 2013 - 9:08am #49

OK, just one last check, can you run GetAllTargets.java (not GetTarget), by putting your server keys in place of the empty ones; this should respond with a list of targets in your Cloud DB; for convenience I report the full code here (make sure that the Java code that you are using is the same as here, except for the keys values of course):

public class GetAllTargets {

	//Server Keys
	private String accessKey = "xyz...............";//"[ server access key ]";
	private String secretKey = "abc.................";//"[ server secret key ]";

	private String url = "https://vws.vuforia.com";

	private void getTargets() throws URISyntaxException, ClientProtocolException, IOException {
		HttpGet getRequest = new HttpGet();
		HttpClient client = new DefaultHttpClient();
		getRequest.setURI(new URI(url + "/targets"));
		setHeaders(getRequest);

		HttpResponse response = client.execute(getRequest);
		System.out.println(EntityUtils.toString(response.getEntity()));
	}

	private void setHeaders(HttpUriRequest request) {
		SignatureBuilder sb = new SignatureBuilder();
		request.setHeader(new BasicHeader("Date", DateUtils.formatDate(new Date()).replaceFirst("[+]00:00$", "")));
		request.setHeader("Authorization", "VWS " + accessKey + ":" + sb.tmsSignature(request, secretKey));
	}

	public static void main(String[] args) throws URISyntaxException, ClientProtocolException, IOException {
		GetAllTargets g = new GetAllTargets();
		g.getTargets();
	}
Do you still get authentication error by running the above ?

I have mentioned there, bt it's  not working.

Hi. I can't run samples.

February 18, 2013 - 11:46pm #47

Hi, not sure what you mean by

"when I click on the target then it shows such type of error."

Where do you "click"  ?

Also, when you run the GetTargets.java with your server keys (not the client ones), and your target-id, what message do you read in the console ?

Hi. I can't run samples.

February 18, 2013 - 11:36pm #46

I have made a simple test by running the same GET query with our Java samples (I have used the GetTarget.java example and put your server keys in the code and your target ID);

I log with the online Target Manager and I my target image as "active" with 5 star rating.

when I recognize image of vuforia then it recognize but when I recognize my own cloud database then it doesn't.

when I click on the target then it shows such type of error.

{"result_code":"AuthenticationFailure","transaction_id":"3843253bade440058aec6c51ca225c9c"}

OK; could you make a simple test by running the same GET query with our Java samples (you can just use the GetTarget.java example and put your server keys in the code and your target ID);

also, if you log with the online Target Manager and you click on yout Cloud DB, do you see your target image as "active"? with what star rating ?

Hi. I can't run samples.

February 18, 2013 - 9:56pm #44

I got the "authentication error" when using the VWS API.

it is when doing a GET query on a specific target ID

Hi. I can't run samples.

February 18, 2013 - 5:06am #43

OK, thanks: do you get the "authentication error" when using the VWS API ? if yes, is it when doing a GET query on a specific target ID ? or other query ?

Hi. I can't run samples.

February 18, 2013 - 4:35am #42

  • I am just trying to recognize images using the CloudReco sample with own account client keys.
  • I am using the VWS API to access your Cloud Database (using the server keys).
  • I am using the VWS API, I write code in Java and use your reference Java samples for that.
  • I have passed keys(client 7 server) but the our database is not being used. It shows vuforia database image.

Hi. I can't run samples.

February 18, 2013 - 4:22am #41

OK, I understood that; but could you be a bit more specific ?

  • are you just trying to recognize images using the CloudReco sample with your account client keys?
  • are you using the VWS API to access your Cloud Database (using the server keys?)
  • if you are using the VWS API, how did you write your code (C++, Java, ?) did you use our reference Java samples for that ?
  • if none of the above applies, could you describe the workflow of your application with a bit more depth ?

Hi. I can't run samples.

February 18, 2013 - 4:14am #40

I want to access data from cloud database through images recognition, but there is a error

{"result_code":"AuthenticationFailure","transaction_id":"3843253bade440058aec6c51ca225c9c"}

I found it, I want to way how to remove this error.

Hi. I can't run samples.

February 18, 2013 - 3:58am #39

Hi, can you describe a bit more in detail what you are doing ?

have you just modified the Cloud Reco sample to use your client access Keys ?

or are you also performing some additional tasks with your App ?

The above information would help us troubleshoot your issue.

Hi,

I have installed all instructions in proprly, I have created cloud database & changed access key of client and server, and also changed tagetid, but when I run  .apk file on device it is in running mode, but when I recognize the image which is stored in my cloud database is not recognize, the error is {"result_code":"AuthenticationFailure","transaction_id":"3843253bade440058aec6c51ca225c9c"}. please solve it.

Hi, you probably need to edit the Java Build Path;

in Eclipse, go to Project -> Properties -> Java Build Path -> Order and Export tab, and check (tick) the QCAR_SDK_ROOT item;

this should fix the problem (provided that you built your project with ndk-build and refreshed it in Eclipse).

Hi prabhusathy, the most

December 28, 2012 - 2:52pm #35

Hi prabhusathy,

the most likely reason for your error ("unsatisfied link") is that you did not build the C++ part of the project under the JNI folder;

to do that you need to open a Cygwin terminal, go to your project directory and execute "ndk-build";

also, if you already did the above, make sure to refresh your Eclipse project right after the ndk-build.

IHTH.

EDIT: Actually that doesn't seem to be the problem.
I'm using the new library.

This maybe be the culprit "No JNI_OnLoad found in /data/data/com.qualcomm.QCARSamples.ImageTargets/lib/libImageTargets.so 0x40515140, skipping init"

But I'm not too sure what it means.

I'm guessing you're in the process of upgrading to 1.0.0. Have you changed your Eclipse QCAR_SDK_ROOT variable to point to the 1.0.0 directory? That variable is used for grabbing the jar file, and the old 0.10.0 jar will not work with the new version of the SDK.

Re: Hi. I can't run samples.

May 12, 2011 - 6:04am #28

You don't need to run "make" directly, you just need to have it installed (ndk-build leverages it). Now you should be able to run "ndk-build" in the sample directory.

Re: Hi. I can't run samples.

Hey downloaded developer tools and xcode, i have "make" on my system, but i can't find it?

I typed in
$ make
then replies with...
make: *** No targets specified and no makefile found. Stop.

i typed
$ which make
then...
/usr/bin/make

but when i type
/usr/bin/make
then...
usr/bin/make: No such file or directory

thanks :)

Re: Hi. I can't run samples.

'make' is required by the ndk. The easiest way to install make on an OS X machine is to install the apple developer tools that should come on the OS X installation DVD.

Re: Hi. I can't run samples.

It sounds like the ndk-build command is not in your path. It depends on where you installed your ndk package so replace the
with the path to your installation

In the terminal, type the following:

echo 'export PATH=<Path to ndk-build here>:$PATH' >> ~/.bash_profile

Re: Hi. I can't run samples.

May 10, 2011 - 5:20pm #23

Hey thanks for replying, but I did all that and still didnt work.
Everything went alright until I typed in "ndk-build"
then it says there is no such command

Is there a special terminal I open? Cause I just opened my normal terminal from applications

Could it be that i setup the ndk wrong?
how would i go about doing this step?

MAC: Update $path variable to point to the ndk directory. Modify the /Users//.tcshrc file to set the path by adding /Users//Development/Android/android-ndk-r5b. Along with the changes applied in the section 'Android SDK Downloader' you will have:

set path = ( $path /Developer/usr/bin /Users//Development/Android/android-sdk-mac_x86/tools /Users//Development/Android/android-ndk-r5b )

Thanks

Re: Hi. I can't run samples.

May 10, 2011 - 1:15pm #22

You need to run ndk-build from the command line. On Mac, open the Terminal application and use the "cd" command to change directories to the sample you want to compile. For example:

cd Development/Android/qcar-sdk-1-0-0/samples/ImageTargets/

Then you can type "ndk-build" to compile. Refresh the Eclipse project to update and the lib folders should appear.

Make sure you are building the shared objects using ndk-build. You will need Android NDK r5 or r5b. Refresh the project in Eclipse after this step. In Eclipse, the libs folders should contain libImageTargets.so and libQCAR.so.

hoyoungYun, could you check your log output as well?

- Kim

Hey, i don't quite know how to build the shared objects using ndk-build.
i'v re-read step 3 a million times and i don't get it? :confused:

"Change directory? to ImageTargets in the \qcar-sdk-xx-yy-zz\samples directory and execute"

I don't get the part where its says change directory and execute ndk-build? what am i suppose to do for that one?

And lib folders? i don't see any in eclipse? point me to the right place to look?

I'm Using a mac book.

I'm guessing this is your modified project and not the sample?

I don't think that error is causing the issue, if you can see the live camera in the background then the camera is initialized correctly. Are there any other errors in the log before the crash? Can you share your code for handling tracked image targets? You can send it to

if you'd rather not post it here.

Re: Hi. I can't run samples.

May 10, 2011 - 9:45am #18

What version of the NDK do you have? You need r5 or r5b. When you run ndk-build with the 1.0.0 samples the .so files should be automatically copied to the correct location. Try refreshing the project in Eclipse (right-click on the project in the Package Explorer and choose Refresh) and then check that the lib folders contain these files.

Re: Hi. I can't run samples.

May 10, 2011 - 7:58am #16

First off, let's figure out why the new 1.0 samples aren't working on your device. Could you post the runtime log?

Second, upgrading your existing project should be pretty simple. You need to compile against the new headers, .so and jar files. If your current project is in the 0.10.0 samples folder, it might be simplest to copy this to the new 1.0.0 samples folder. You may want to create a new Eclipse workspace where you can set the QCAR_SDK_ROOT variable to the 1.0.0 directory. Then add your project as a new Android project. Rebuild your native code with "ndk-build -B" (this will force a rebuild). Refresh the Eclipse project, Clean and build.

Finally, you will need to copy a few new permissions to your AndroidManifest.xml file. Look at the manifest file in the 1.0.0 sample applications.
