I have an application which needs to extract rotation based on AR markers, but does NOT need to do it at the max rate possible. This application is already computationally expensive, so I need to limit the processing done by the Qualcomm SDK.
I am currently using an Ipod Touch 4G. I know the iOS SDK supports limiting video capture to arbitrary rates (I have tested it), but this doesn't seem exposed on the Qualcomm SDK. It seems to just hammer away.
When I list the available video modes it lists only one with 480x360 and 30 FPS, so I can't select anything else. It will never hit 30 FPS in my application and will slow things down so I can't render at interactive rates. I need to limit to 5 - 10 FPS for the AR code.
Is this possible?
