Models (in this case people) in front of the augmented model

November 2, 2013 - 4:37am #1

I am wondering is it possible? I need real people in front of the camera is visible in front of the augmented model. I made some research and occlusion may be used for this but technically is it possible to render the model for example 10 feet away and between that 10 feet anything there will be displayed in front of it?

Thanks in advance.

You can detect when an area of the target is occluded using Virtual Buttons, but those regions need to be defined as a rectangle, so you won't be able to recognize organic shapes. But using this technique, you could implement a basic form of occlusion culling.
