Modyfing camera image, black and white, inverted

I am working on a AR project in unity3d for iOS. I am using the QCAR Imagetargets example and it is working great so far. What I need for my project is an effect on the camera image that makes it similar to Night Vision. Something like a black and white inverted picture. The objects i create in unity and place on the imagetarget should keep their color. I just want to access the live camera image and apply effects to it.

Can somebody please help me, by pointing where in the QCAR API code i can access the camera image? This is crucial to my project and I can't find the way to do this.

I suggest trying out the QCAR Unity 1.5 beta. A new feature in 1.5 is easy access to the camera image as a Texture2D object. What's more, it comes with a new sample that does almost exactly what you want (applies a negative black-and-white shader to the camera image). Give it a try, and let us know how it works for you!

Please note that the VideoBackgroundAccess sample currently only works in Landscape Left, and with OpenGL ES 2.0.
