MultiTarget - Not Multiple Targets?

July 20, 2012 - 3:16am #1

Hi,

Either I've misunderstood, or am mis-implimenting the MultiTarget Trackable.

I have a cube, on each side is a an animal image that then corrosponds to a letter (A,B,C,D,E & F), with the idea that each side produces it's own 3D object (Ideally with only the animal on the top being shown). I'm thinking that this is now not possible with MultiTarget, and needs to be done with multiple image targets?

Thoughts?

Thanks,

MultiTarget - Not Multiple Targets?

Hi Schwaaa

The multi-target will give you a box effectively with a single matrix for the centre of the box.

You have two choices:

  • Use multiple image targets, but the problem might be the recognition at various angles
  • Stay with multitargets, and try to calculate the box dimensions - once you have these and the pose matrix you should be able to work out the extents on each of the 6 sides - thereby allowing your application to place an object on each side

Hope this makes sense.
