Network problems

September 2, 2011 - 5:41am #1

I've followed the steps in getting started, and it's all succeed til I finally run the ImageTargets. Nor on the emulator or on my Nexus S. Just after a while after I open it, Network connection require to initialize camera setting.... this warnning appears and I can not get in.
I'm sure the network can be accessed but it is GPRS connection, not wifi or 3G. I have searched the posts about similar problems and I've tried the ways as previous solutions but they didn't work. Can anyone give me a help? Thanks very much.

Hello,

How is your wifi connected to the internet?

Please try the following:
Put your device in Airplane mode to disable the EDGE connection. Then enable wifi only and connect to an available wifi network. Then open the web browser and successfully load a web page.

After this please try running the QCAR app.

Thank you,

-Peter

I have confirmed that the network is present and I am able to browse the web using browser.
I have deleted and reinstalled the app as well.

Double check your internet connection with the mobile browser before running the app.

Try deleting and reinstalling the app.

If it's still failing, can you copy the full runtime log (from start to stop of a fresh install) and attach it here? You can view the log with the DDMS tool that comes with Android, or by running "adb logcat" on the command line.

I am trying to run ImageTargets application on Nexus S.
I have same problem on my Nexus S. The model no. is also the same. PLease suggest. I also tried to use it on WiFi. Infact my edge connection is also good and I am able to browse internet on it.

Even it is not working on HTC Wildfire.

I am using QCAR SDk 1.0.6, ndk rb6, Android SDK r10.

Hello,

Can you also please provide the model number of your Nexus S. You can find this in settings -> about phone . After running the application the first time with a network connection you will be able to run the app without a network connection.

Thank you,

-Peter

I'm not sure about possible issues with GPRS connections, I'm trying to get some feedback on this now. Just to make sure, your device is connected to the internet, and there isn't a sign-in screen that might be preventing access? Browse the web a bit on the device before running the app.
