noobie problem with ImageTargets sample on HTC Droid Incredible

January 23, 2011 - 3:30pm #1

Hey all,
I'm trying to test QCAR by running the ImageTargets sample app on my HTC Droid Incredible with Android 2.2 on it. Everything seems to build and install on the phone smoothly, but when the Intent is started, the "Sorry!" error message pops up and I have to force close the app. I'm pretty much completely stuck and not sure what to do now. I tried to find descriptions of similar problems on this forum/Google but no luck. Any suggestions?

thanks!

thank you Kim for the quick response, you were right! i just needed to ndk-build the sample app and refresh Eclipse, and now it works :)

Look at the log output, there's probably a hint in there. In Eclipse you can switch to the DDMS perspective, and look at the LogCat section.

You're probably missing one of the .so files. Look in the lib folders, they should contain libQCAR.so and libImageTargets.so files. libImageTargets.so is created when you build the native code using ndk-build. Be sure to refresh the project in Eclipse after running this command (right click on the project in the Package Explorer and choose Refresh). libQCAR.so is added by a custom builder, look at the project property's Builders section for more info.
