Play the video over a trackable region

August 28, 2011 - 12:18pm #6

hey guys

i want to develop an application in which when the app gets trackable in the vicinity it starts playing the video in that region while the rest of the region behaves as it is i.e camera view.

Any kind of help will be appreciated

Do you mean that the video should be rendered on the trackable surface - not simply as an overlay on the camera view when the trackable is present.

Hey i'm trying to do something similar too.Can u let me know if this is possible?
is it better to use an image tracker rather than a frame marker for video rendering? i'm concerned about the resolution of the video as i don't want it to be too small.

I know I'm picking up an old thread, were you able to achieve this. Please advice.

For some time, we have been working on a code wrapper for the Vuforia AR library. The Kudan Framework enables features such as images, 3D objects, video-on-texture and more.

We have uploaded this video describing the building of a video-on-texture AR app in Xcode using the Kudan framework:

The Kudan Framework is not yet available but is coming soon.

Hi, this sounds interesting but I couldn't find any information on the topic. 3D objects... isn't that already a part of Qualcomm? What I'm really interested in is streaming video. Would the Kudan Framework help with that? And how difficult would it be to integrate with Unity?

Is there any way to get a more precise timeframe for this framework than "Coming soon?"

Thanks!
