[Q] How to inform Vuforia of different camera intrinsics? [clip on lens]

November 14, 2014 - 3:14am #1

Hi,

We are using a clip on wide angle lens on an iPad Mini. We've measured the combined camera intrinsics using the Caltech toolbox.

How do I plug the values we found for the camera intrinsics into Vuforia? We are using Vuforia inside Unity3D.

Any help greatly appreciated,

Tom

Hi,

Setting camera intrinsic parameters, such as focal length, principal point and radial distortion, is currently not supported by the Vuforia 5.5 SDK.

If this is a feature you'd be interested in for future versions of the SDK, please add it to the "Wish List" topic under the General Discussion sub-forum.

Thanks.

Hi,

May I feed my own camera intrinsic parameters into Vuforia SDK instead of using defult one  ?

I checked the cameraCalibration API of lastest Vuforia SDK. What I can get are only getXXX function , it seems there is no any set functions.

Thanks.

Vuforia controls the ARCamera values and matches them to the device camera. Can you provide an example of which camera parameters you are wanting to modify?
