"QCAR failed to Initialize" on Android (With Unity)

Hi,

While trying to create a google cardboard app using Vuforia I am receiving an error an startup while trying to 

test on Android. "QCAR faild to initialize" is what unity gives me. It does work however on Laptop. My current situation in Unity

is that I copied the camera and made them to have the viewer see 2 screens for the cardboard to work. Any thoughts?

*Vuforia image recognition is working in unity on windows.

Any solutions ? I have the massage "Falied to initialize Vuforia" on Android, iOS works fine

So actually in my case I had imported another plugin into Unity which had overwritten the Vuforia AndroidManifest.xml with that of the plugin. After reinstating the original AndroidManifest and adding the appropriate provisions for the other plugin to that manifest everything once again works fine.

I have the same issue. After upgrading to the latest vuforia and entering the new License Key etc I get the Failed to Initialise QCAR message on Android. IOS works fine.

Same for me, work fine in the unity3d renderer but if i compil it for android i have the message " failed to initialise QCAR " .

  • Are you trying to use the Eyewear SDK with a Mobile key?
  • Which device are you running on?
