Sesame Street app how to

Hello Folks,

Can we track 3d toys as markers like it´s done in the Sesame street workshop prototype with the current version of Vuforia? Is there a tutorial? If not, when will it be available?

Hi, currently the only way you can support tracking of 3D objects in Vuforia is by printing or attaching 2D image targets (or frame markers) to the surface of the 3D object; for instance if you have an object like a box (or a cube), you could easily have an image target on each side of the box, and have that tracked by Vuforia.

The Vuforia SDK also contains a very nice example called MultiTargets that allows you to track a cereal box; you can have a look at it.

For what concerns tracking of generic 3D objects  (i.e. without using image targets on the object surface), instead this is not supported by current version of Vuforia.

I just saw: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QNn5e169RqE

And I´m interested as well. Is there a way to track a 3D object inside current version of vuforia in android ?

Currently Vuforia does not support 3D tracking. The Sesame Street app was an R&D demo.

Thank you,
