somehow detect colored spheres

Hello,

I am looking for a way to detect small colored spheres on a game board in addition to the image detection already supported by vuforia.

The user can place those balls somewhere on the game field. Those balls and the corresponding color should be detected. Is there anyway to archieve this with vuforia since those are "just" simple 3D objects?

any help is highly appreciated

Sure you can; that's definitely possible;

what I meant in my previous message is that you need to implement the "colored pixel detection" by yourself (it's not a feature that vuforia offers...)

BTW:

you can extract the camera image (last video frame) using the QCAR API, as explained in detail here:

What about extracting the camera texture and then looking for the colored pixels which represent the colored spheres?

Hi, Vuforia does not support that feature (detecting colored spheres).
