text display

May 23, 2012 - 7:59am #1

I'd like to modify the example VirtualButtons to display text when the button is pressed. Thus, different texts would be displayed for each button. This is possible? If so how to do?

Thanks...

Hello renato,

You can use a Toast to display a message on the screen. See http://ar.qualcomm.at/node/2002161 for an example to display a toast when a particular imagetarget is found. You can moddify this code to activate the toast when a virtual button is pressed.

Thank you,

I'm using OpenGL. It's not necessary show 3D text.

Yes but the approaches vary depending on whether you're using Unity (e.g. 3D Text ) vs OpenGL. Which SDK are you using?
