What rendering engine must I use?

November 25, 2010 - 2:33am #1

Hello.

I'm very very new with AR Qualcomm SDK. I've been looking for a rendering engine to use with AR SDK for a month but I didn't find one to use with.

Please, can you say me one to use with?

It would be a pity I could not finish the application for not knowing which rendering engine can be use.

Thank you very much.

Apps will work past the Unity trial period

Hi VansFannel,

I'm not sure who you talked to at Unity but I contacted their product people to clarify this question and they confirmed that your app will run past the trial period. So, I wouldn't worry about it :D

We're looking forward to your submission to the AR developer challenge!

Kim,

People from Unity said me that my application will not run after 30 days trial period.

:(

Yes, your application will run past the 30 day Unity trial period. Just be sure to build the project before the trial ends, and keep the APK file.

Kim, thank you very much for your answer.

I have another question:
If I get a free 30 day trial of Unity Android , will my application run past those 30 days? I want to submit it to the 2010 Augmented Reality Developer Challenge.

Thanks.

Another forum user has had some luck merging Adreno with the QCAR SDK. See this thread:

Also, have you considered using Unity?

http://unity3d.com

We now have a Unity extension for our SDK, which is really easy to use. You can get a free 30 day trial of Unity Android if you email them and mention that you are using the QCAR SDK. See the Unity 3 Extension section in the forum for more details.
