Hello
We're working on a mobile app that uses Vuforia alongside another asset that we are using for QR scanning.
Our app has 2 different sections. The AR part enables vuforia for scanning markers, and the QR part enables a separate scene camera for qr scanning.
The issue we're having is this:
If I load the AR part first, it opens up the phone camera, everything works, and when we exit it goes back to the main UI, however, if I open the qr part, which also uses the same phone camera, and then exit that section, now if I open the AR part, the camera doesn't show up anymore.
The code I'm using to enable/disable the AR part is this:
I know that the other asset that does the QR also uses a background plane, much like vuforia, so my first thought was to use the same camera and same background plane for both, but I can't find a way to assign my own background plane to vuforia manually so I can use that for the qr asset too. Even when I add a background plane under vuforia camera, it doesn't work because it's missing the right shader that is available at run-time.
I'm guessing after exiting the qr part, some camera settings must have been reset that were initialized by vuforia, so a fix would be to do those settings again. In my Init function these are what I do initally. I tried to do them again after we go back to vuforia scene after leaving the qr scene but it didn't work.
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks a lot
Hey there,
Hey there,
I suggest to just turn off the VuforiaBehaviour and listen for the OnVuforiaPaused or OnVuforiaStopped to make sure that Vuforia isn't running anymore when you want to use your QR code reader.
