Hello,
I am having a very strange issue. When using ground plane tracking in my app (which we have been working on for a few months now) on the Samsung Galaxy S21+, the ground plane is not detected (Image tracking works just as it should). I can see the camera feed just fine (it is not a black screen issue), and the app is not crashing, it just does not detect anything. However the same app is running fine on a Samsung Galaxy S9, as well as a few other brands and some I-phones.
I have tried SDK 9.8.8 as well as 9.8.11 - same result
I have been using Unity 2019.4.31 for this, but 2019.4.29 or 2019.3.15 don't change a thing.
It doesn't matter if I build 64 bit only apks or arm7 and 64 bit (both il2cpp).
It doesn't matter if I switch the ARCore required attribute from optional to required or build with or without the arcore library included.
The setting for using the positional device tracker is on.
To double check that it is not related to anything in my project though, I did a test build from your example scenes - and it is not working either! I get this error message saying that my device is unsupported (see screenshot attached) - but my device is listed on your site as supported. The same build works on a Samsung Galaxy S9 though.
So I must be missing something obvious here. Does anyone know what the issue could be here?
I cannot use the new SDK 10.5 by the way as I cannot upgrade this project to unity 2020.
Thank you for your help.
Kind regards,
Klemens Kopetzky
Hey Klemens,
Hey Klemens,
Would you be able to share the entire log file through Android Logcat running the Core Samples of v9.8.8 or v9.8.11? That houses specifics which we could use to identify this issue.
Could you also share the model version? Is it the SM-G996B?
