Vuforia camera feed goes from 60 FPS to 30 FPS

My application on iOS (iPad 8th gen) runs in 60 fps. CameraDevice is set set to OPTIMIZE_QUALITY and it give stable 60 fps. However after some time (around 30 min) of running the application, when device gets a little hotter, the camera switches somehow to 30 FPS, the app is still running in 60 though. Why is it happening? The device is not very hot it could easily handle 60 FPS. Is there anything I can do to prevent Vuforia from switching to 30 FPS?

Hey there,

Vuforia Engine does not explicitly throttle the camera once the FPS has been set by the setting. However it could be that you're experiencing ARKit throttling the camera based on the thermal state of the device. There's some information I could find here that might help: https://forum.unity.com/threads/ar-foundation-support-for-iphone-12-pro-with-lidar.987810/
