3D model shows all the time even if the camera is not pointing to the tracker yet

February 10, 2012 - 12:41pm #1

Hello.

i just buid a test with Unity 3.2, Qcar Beta 1.5, Xcode 4.2 adn iOS sdk 5, following the ImageTarget tutorial, and everything goes well, except for this strange behavior:

When the app launchs on he ipod touch, the 3D model appears on the screen on the default position set on Unity, and with the camera video on background.

If i point the camera to the tracker, the model acomodates to the image track position, but if i lose the tracker from the camera, the model does not desapear from the scene as espected, it remains on the last tracked position.

It supouse the model must appear when the camera finds the tracking image and desappear when it lose the tracking image, but the model shows all the time!

do you know how to correct this issue?

Thanks!

hi,
make sure your 3d geometry is a child object of the image target and the image target has the DefaultTrackableEventHandler.cs script attached. then everything should work fine.
best,
stefan
