64 Bit Windows 7 Works for anyone?

November 15, 2010 - 1:39pm #4

I noticed that some of the QCAR environment documentation suggests using 32 bit OS, so I am wondering if anyone has run into any snags while installing the entire lot of apps needed on 64 Bit Win7 (android SDK, eclipse, cygwin, Unity, Android ADB, etc).

If so, are there any special settings / paths / instructions to make set-up work smoothly?

I also noticed that the Java Development and Eclipse come in either 64 and 32 bit versions.. is one recommended over the other?

Eric

I'm developing on a 64bit Win7 machine and haven't had any problems so far, but I'll let you know if anything crops up!

Same here, works fine on my x64 W7 environment.

Works on Win 7 x64 -- one caveat, UAC may lead to strangeness when trying to transfer image target files to the Unity folders - you have to manually delete the .dat and xml file in Unity, and then drag and drop them into Proj panel from the explorer folder
