Alpha channel not respected during tracking

July 25, 2014 - 11:09am #1

It appears that if I use transparent texture overlaid on top of the video feed during tracking, the alpha channel simply turns to black.

I'm using NGUI's shaders...although the built in Unlit > Texture Unity shader gives the same result.

Is it when using standard Image Targets, or are you referring to Cloud Reco ? Also, any additional information on the context and setup of your scene would help..

The shader could be the problem, but there is an oddity:

The texture alpha is respected when the target is found, but when it is searching, alpha simply reverts to the color black.

You need to use Transparent-enabled shaders to have alpha;

I've made a quick test and can create transparent texture on any game object I tried with, but the shader must have Alpha Blending enabled.
