Altering Shader Alpha Channels, Using Textures with transparencies In Unity

March 22, 2013 - 3:38pm #1

Hello,

I was wondering if we can use textures with transpariencies or turning down the alpha channel in Unity shaders to create an transparency effect with Vuforia for Unity. I have tried fading out an object with a push of a button by turning down the alpha channel, but the object just disappeared.

Thanks in advance!

I am trying to use custom alpha shader for movie texture on unity. I 've used this shader for movie texture on a plane, this works when i publishing for windows. But when i tried to use this method on videoplayback sample project and when i changed video plane's materail shader to my custom shader. Video just disappeared when marker detected.

What is the problem ?  How can i use my shader to videoplayback ?

anyone help  me ?

Yes, though to adjust apha procedurally your shader will need to support an alpha channel.
