Augmented content is black in screenshots

March 21, 2014 - 4:31pm #1

Any idea's why this happens? (see pic attached)

The models that are shown when the target is tracked look great on the device, but when I take a screenshot, the models show up completely black........

I only have the ARcamera and the background one in the scene, no extras for GUI or anything.

The screenshot is taken in a coroutine after WaitForEndOfFrame(); So it's waiting for the renderer to show everything before snapping a shot...

Glad that you solved it;

as I was anticipating, it is not related to Vuforia, but anyway thanks for sharing the solution, this will certainly help other developers with similar issue.

I figured it out if anyone ever has a problem like this:

texture = new Texture2D(Screen.width, Screen.height, TextureFormat.ARGB32,false); //Incorrect
texture = new Texture2D(Screen.width, Screen.height, TextureFormat.RGB24,false); //Correct

I guess ARGB32 format isn't android friendly...It works in the editor but not on device.

Maybe you simply need to add some lighting in your scene;

I don't think this can relate directly to Vuforia; have you made some tests with a Unity scene without Vuforia ?
