Camera resolution issues (HTC Flyer + Qualcomm Unity Extension)

October 4, 2011 - 5:23am #1

Hi guys,

It's there any one succeed to publish high resolution camera image on Tablet using Qualcomm unity Extension? I tested on my HTC flyer with android SDK 2.33 for many times, either I selected the "Optimize Quality mode" or "Default Camera mode", the camera always show up with low-resultion. Btw i also try to re-install the APK file directly though my device but there is no any improvement at all.

It's there any one can help me? A thousand thanks! :):):)

It's that because the mobile device use smaller screen than Tablet?

It's because the resolution on the tablet is so much higher compared to the handset.

Can you possibly also attach a screenshot from the tablet showing the camera background? You can take one using the DDMS tool in your Android installation's tools folder.

Thanks,

Hi Kim,

Thanks for your replay and helps.:)

The model number is(HTC Flyer P510e). I checked the log file, seems like the maximum preview size can get to 800x480 resolution. I also installed the same app on another android hand phone (HTC Desire S S510e), the testing result is fine, screen image can work under high resolution on HTC Desire. It's that because the mobile device use smaller screen than Tablet?

I also attached herewith the log file for your information. please feel free to check it.

Thanks,

Shawn

Could you provide us with the model number for your device? You should be able to find it in the About Phone menu from Settings.

Also can you capture the log output for a fresh run and attach it here? You can find this using the DDMS tool that comes with Android. We'll be looking for the requested preview size in the log, for one.
