Changing the video prefab mesh

Hello vuforia peeps,

 

So im using the videoPlayback tutourial, got it working fine. Im wondering why when i change the video prefabs mesh can i no longer see it, it occasionally flickers on the screen but not in the right place, it works in the editor but not when i build it to iOS. Any suggestions?

Yes, that fixes the scale  issue (and for the position actually there was no issue).

Maybe im too hasty to post on here but i solved this too, i commented out this :

 

// Flip the plane as the video texture is mirrored on the horizontal

//transform.localScale = new Vector3(-0.1f, 0.1f, 0.1f * aspect);

 
in VideoPlaybackBehaviour and jobs a good-un ;)

cool, will try to clarify. The video prefab from the demo is a child of an image target, if i change the video objects local position and scale (e.g. place the video object above the image target, and half its scale on each axis) works fine in the editor but when i build to an iOS device the scale and position is not correct. It looks like it has reverted to its original position and scale. Hope this explains a little better?!?!

if i move the video prefab and change its scale it does seem to reflect these changes in the build, any ideas?

Not quite sure what you exactly mean here...

There is one other thing related to this that is also giving me hassel, would be great if one of you guys could shed some light on the matter. So the video prefab is a child of the image target, if i move the video prefab and change its scale it does seem to reflect these changes in the build, any ideas?

Thanks for the response guys, it would seem my 3D guy incorrectly UV'd the model and after a re-work it now works perfectly!!!!! Sorry for wasting anyones time. Just to cure anyones curiosity my mesh im running the video on is in the shape of a car!!!!! *Crowd goes oooooohhhhhhh aaaaaahhhhhhhh*

It's possible that the icon is interfering; have you tried removing / disabling the icon object ?

I've been able to do this with a variety of shapes and models, so I'm pretty sure it's possible.  Is the Icon texture interfering in some way?  If you revert it back to a plane does it work as expected?
