August 18, 2013 - 12:35am #1

Hi Vuforia Team

I encounter some errors in the logcat after extending my unity project to the eclipse.

I also created splash screen and buttons in my project that execute properly then when i hit the button the ar camera is not working and my app  comes out.

Here's the log

EGL_emulation tid 1313: eglGetConfigAttrib(605): error 0x3004 (EGL_BAD_ATTRIBUTE)
EGL_emulation [getAttribValue] Bad attribute idx
dalvikvm VM aborting
libc Fatal signal 11 (SIGSEGV) at 0xdeadd00d (code=1), thread 1313 (UnityMain)

I also found topic related to my question but the users not give the solution for VM aborting.
Please check this link

Pls Help! Tnx

The image enhacement tricks are only necessary when the original image has poor quality (i.e. low tracking rate); if you start with an image which has sufficient amount of detail, well distributed and with good contrast, you can probably go without enhancement tricks.

Hi AllessandroB

Thank you trying to answer to my questions!

I already solve now the logcat error by reading more topics in the forum i found the solution ;)

The primary cause is the PostBuilderPlayer in the older unity extension of Vuforia sdk is not compatible to the new version of Unity 4.2

migrate the new version of sdk work for me :)

I have some few question AllessandroB

1. It is possible to create a image target without doing the image enhancement tricks?

Because i see the vuforia video snapdragon has a image target(circle) that has no sharp side?

Thanks Advance!!!

Please give a topic in this similar to my question sorry for not creating a new topic :D

Ok. So, you cannot use the emulator, as I said.

So, if you have a crash when running on the device, you need to debug it by looking at the error messages logged from the device; you can use adb logcat to do that.

Thanks for your response!

Im already test my app in the real device but it crash after I press the button in the UI to appear the camera.

I use emulator to determine the cause why my app crash the i see this error in the logcat.

Hi, are you using the Android emulator (as I seem to see from the logs) ?

Vuforia does not support the Android emulator, you need to use a real device.
