I know some online services can rotate/flip a video, like this one: https://videorotate.com/

Or you can take this one: http://www.videoconverterfactory.com/tips/how-to-flip-a-video.html

Hi

Not quite sure what you are after, or exactly what the MirrorCase App is meant to do.

However, we have looked into this issue and concluded there is no bug as the behaviour is clearly defined as follows:

  • Front camera with Mirroring=OFF will show an upside down image in Portrait mode, text readable
  • Front camera with Mirroring=ON will work as expected, nothing upside down but, text obviously mirrored
  • Back camera with Mirroring=ON will show a upside down image in Portrait mode, text mirrored
  • Back camera with Mirroring=OFF behaves as expected.
Hope this clarifies the situation.

Actually I mean mirror completely - as in what you see on mirror and on mobile not just webcam...

Or, also, to take advantage of Mirror Case for remote-style AR! http://www.mirrorcase.com/

Hi ina,

Yes this is normally done in the case of Front Facing Cameras, however there is an issue regarding mirroring which we are investigating.

Please see here for more details:

Hi ina,

if by "flipping" you mean a "horizontal flipping" (i.e. a mirror effect), in Vuforia version 2.0 (Unity extension) you can enable the "Mirror Video Background" flag;

just click on the ARCamera, and you'll find this attribute in the QCARBehaviour component; normally this is set to "DEFAULT", but you can set it to "ON"

I hope this helps.
