Hello Everyone,
I'm having a problem with an android camera being very grainy when it is focusing on an AR image target. The distance between the camera and the image target seems to be the problem. I dont believe the hardware is the whole cause of this issue so how can I improve the camera quality through code?

The focus mode is turned on when image target isnt found and turned off when it is detected/tracked. The focus mode is on AUTO. Camera mode is on QUALITY.

I am using two devices; the Evo 4G(PC36100, version 2.2) and the Droid X (version 2.2.1). Thanks for the advice about the light. It makes the camera less grainy.
@Tyro
With the focusing issue, our team has been trying to figure out an algorithm to focus whenever the camera moves so the image target is always detected/tracked. The original image target was 1 start and that probably didn't help.
Thanks for your responses
