Help building UNITY project on Eclipse

April 27, 2012 - 7:44pm #1

Hi!

I've created a project on UNITY that displays a monster with a little animation. I've followed this steps, and then this steps to integrate QCAR and UNITY to Eclipse, but so far I´ve only got an error on the Log.
Can anybody tell what am I doing wrong?

I've attacched the log error, my "Staging Area" library (checked), and my project from Eclipse.

Thanks.

@ willsnake

copy both jar files(QCAR.jar and QCARUnityPlayer.jar) into the lib folder from your custom Android project.

Check our blog for more details.

Were you sure to use the same package name for your Android project that you used for the bundle id in Unity?

I suggest carefully going through the procedure again with the ImageTargets sample, just in case there's a special issue with your project.

Also, when I went through this I had to use API level 13 (Android 3.2) or higher to build both projects, otherwise it complained about the manifest.

Hi Kim!

Thanks for all your help.
I've already added those libraries to the proyect on the buid path, but it still gives the same error.
What could it be?

Did you do this step?

Quote:

Add QCAR.jar and QCARUnityPlayer.jar to the Java Build Path of your custom Android project. These are found in the StagingArea/plugins folder.

I just went through the steps again, I get the error you're seeing if I skip that step. Make sure you're adding the jar files to the build path of the project you're actually running.

Hi Kim!

Thanks for your quick answer. I've done what you told me but, and I've checked if there's is an error from QCAR and this is what it says:
E/AndroidRuntime(2137): java.lang.RuntimeException: Unable to instantiate activity ComponentInfo{com.willsnake.magnemite/com.qualcomm.QCARUnityPlayer.QCARPlayerProxyActivity}: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.qualcomm.QCARUnityPlayer.QCARPlayerProxyActivity in loader dalvik.system.PathClassLoader[/mnt/asec/com.willsnake.magnemite-1/pkg.apk]

How can I fix that?

If you look at all messages in the log cat are there any errors from QCAR?

You may want to copy the QCAR .so files to your final project (libs folder at the top level, not the one inside assets). This shouldn't be necessary if your StagingArea project is properly set up as a library project, however.

Hi Kim!

Thanks for your answer, I've followed in this thread http://ar.qualcomm.at/node/2001243, but I still have the same error, and I don't know why, I'm attaching a picture of my project with the assets folder from my staging area.
Thanks for your help

The procedure is a little different for Vuforia 1.5. See this thread: http://ar.qualcomm.at/node/2001243

The main difference is that the assets folder now needs to contain the QCAR folder as well.
