Hide Camera view

April 27, 2014 - 4:42pm #1

Hi!
I'm working on a project using image targets and I'm wondering if there is any any way to toggle on and off what the camera is viewing and only show the 3d object on screen without showing the image targets.

Any ideas?

thanks!

Hi, one way of disabling the camera background (so that you can only render the augmentation objects) would be to use the technique shown in the BackgroundTextureAccess sample, in which the Camera video texture is rendered onto a textured rectangle (mesh);

See the VideoTextureBeaviour.cs script attached to the NegativeGrayscaleVideo object (child of the BackgroundCamera object); in there, you could act on the mTexture variable to have it as a black texture (or you could act on the Shader to render plain black instead of the grayscale image).
